Frequently Asked Questions

New for 2026, all tours will meet at 55 Union Street Boston, at the black awning in between the two striped Bell In Hand awnings. 

If you park at the Haymarket Parking Garage (pending availability) you can validate your parking at a rate of $3 for 3 hours. Please see a bartender at the Bell In Hand either before or after your tour. 

These are WALKING tours, and cover uneven terrain including cobblestones and hills. Please wear comfortable shoes, and dress appropriately for the weather. Bring water!

The tours are not wheelchair accessible due to the cobblestones, uneven terrain, and stairs. The tours are stroller accessible (Rebels and Red Coats does have a few stairs but we will assist you.)

Tours require at least 2 guests to run, and our tours have a 15 guest maximum. We want you to be able to see, hear, and have a conversation with your guide. 

There are public bathrooms available at Fanueil Hall when they are open. Our office has bathrooms available. Call 617-762-6190 for building access before your tour.

Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes before the start of your tour so that we have time to get everyone checked in. 

While we try not to cancel tours, your safety and enjoyment is our number one priority. If conditions are unsafe or too unpleasant (heavy rain, snow, icy walkways) we will cancel the tour with as much notice as possible. Rescheduling or refunds will be offered. 

Gratuities are very welcome, though of course, not required. Our guides accept cash and Venmo.
